Short Bio
A writer of fiction, book reviews, and essays, Hardy also translates from Turkish into English. In 2026, he won The Masters Review Short Story Award, judged by Jennine Capó Crucet. He earned his MFA from the City College of New York and has published numerous stories, articles, and a book chapter in The Gotham Writers’ Workshop Guide to Writing Fiction (Bloomsbury). He was the English translator for Armenians (a photo and essay exploration of Armenians living in Turkey today), as well as translating Murat Özyaşar’s story in the Kurdish issue of Words Without Borders. His writing has appeared in fresh.ink, New Flash Fiction, Alimentum, The Washington Post, Assisi, and American Letters & Commentary, among others.
Hardy is an editor at Cable Street and previously founded the now-closed Novel Slices, dedicated to novel excerpts.
